14U Bantam Travel Teams

The Avon Hockey 14U Bantam Travel Program is designed for players ready to take the next step in their development within a highly competitive and structured environment. This program is open to players ages 13 and 14 and focuses on advancing both individual skill and team play as athletes prepare for higher levels of hockey.

At the Bantam level, players continue to refine core fundamentals while developing advanced concepts such as game strategy, positioning, physical play, and situational awareness. Emphasis is placed on hockey IQ, decision-making, and accountability, helping athletes become more complete and confident players.

Players in the 14U Travel Program typically participate in multiple weekly practices along with weekend games, providing consistent ice time and meaningful competition throughout the season.

The season runs from September through March, with the primary home rink located on the campus of Avon Old Farms School. Additional practices may be held at the International Skating Center of Connecticut to support scheduling and development needs.

Avon Hockey is committed to delivering a positive, competitive, and development-focused experience. The Bantam program challenges players to grow both on and off the ice—building discipline, teamwork, leadership skills, and a lifelong passion for the game.
