What happens if I selected an equipment package and miss the fitting?

Please contact the equipment director at equipment@acfyha.com. We cannot guarantee equipment if you miss our fitting, so please make every effort to be at our scheduled fitting.

What equipment must my child have to participant in this program?

Whether you utilize our equipment packages or bring your own gear for your child, they must have skates, gloves, a neck guard, and a helmet.

What if my child wants to continue skating?

We recommend you sign your child up for our Developmental Program.

What is the Developmental Program?

The program is designed to continue to help your youngster develop his/her skating skills and introduce them to the great sport of ice hockey. Our highly qualified instructors teach your child through a series of drills in a fun and energetic environment. Our program consists of skill stations where small groups are rotated through varying drills so our instructors can help anyone who needs reinforcement.

When is the Developmental Program?

You can sign up for our full season of developmental program or for a half season.

The full season runs from October - March, every Saturday & Sunday.

The half season runs from January - March, every Saturday & Sunday.

Fall 2023

Learn to Skate for Children Ages 4 and Up. This registration is for the Learn to Skate Program. You will need to enter a valid USA Hockey number, which will confirm that the player is registered with USA Hockey. To register with USAH please visit: membership.usahockey.com.

Program Description: Our Learn to Skate program is an ideal way to introduce children to ice skating. This program will consist of 3 separate on-ice sessions with the primary focus being that of developing an interest in on-ice activities with the possible future migration into an organized ice hockey program. This program is for new skaters only and most of the time will be spent developing skating through fun and games.

The program has three different options you can choose from. You can select Learn to Skate with NO Equipment, Learn to Skate with FULL Equipment, or Learn to Skate with Skates, Gloves, & a Helmet.

Please ensure your child has a BNQ Certified neck laceration protector for all three sessions. 

If you select NO Equipment, you will need to ensure your child has their own skates, gloves, a neck guard, and helmet.

If you select FULL Equipment, you will be required to come to our equipment fitting. This package includes full hockey equipment: skates, helmet, gloves, pants, elbow pads, and shoulder pads. The equipment fitting will be held at Avon Old Farms on September 12th from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

If you select Skates, Gloves, & Helmet, you will be required to come to our equipment fitting. This package includes skates, gloves, and a helmet only.

Program Fees (the price also includes the ice time for each program):

NO Equipment - $75.00
Skates, Gloves, & Helmet ONLY - $200.00
FULL Equipment - $300.00
